We had a dusting of snow on Inauguration Day. It was beautiful to see it coming down in big fat flakes. I only made the boys watch the swearing in because they argued that the snow would melt before all the pomp and circumstance was done. They had some snowball fights and a cute mini-snowman.

Leonardo Da Vinci

Did you know Leonardo didn't have a last name? "Da Vinci" means "from" Vinci so it means Leonardo from a place called Vinci, Italy. We had the most wonderful tour from my friend Elizabeth Avent this past Sunday. She is such a talented teacher and museum docent. She is so amazing with students and a very diverse, interesting, hard working- never sitting still woman. Speaking of all those attributes, they are all associated with the main man- Leonardo. The exhibit brought many of his illustrations and ideas to fruition with beautiful models. It was so inspiring to see the creativity and genius with my family and Elizabeth.

Sammy has been having a great winter. Hre are some pictures of happenings... A trip to Charleston with the Amico's, cool hairdo's, and Sammy's award for Student of the Month for Boys and Girl's Club!!!!!








This is the Leonardo di Vinci exhibit at the State Museum. It was great- mostly because my friend and DYNO-MITE DOCENT~ Elizabeth Avent. She was wonderful!!
