We had a great time at the Night Harbor clubhouse this Thanksgiving. Leah and Tommy came down but we really missed seeing the rest of the charbonneaus. Happy thanksgiving.
We had oysters roasted/steamed on the grill by Granddaddy and Sammy- and shrimp and grits by Michelle and Charlie for our Rogers Thanksgiving this year. The best Shrimp and grits I have ever had- made by a yankee! they used corn meal instead of grits- and lots of cream and butter. It was YUMMY and a wonderful time. Michelle is in agony in the one pic because I failed to mention the horseradish for the oysters was extra spicy- SORRY Michelle. Dad bought enough oysters for that day and for me to have another oyster roast later onin the week- thanks dad :)
I couldn't resist adding some pics of the darlingest dogs around.... Marley is all smiles as she tries to get up the slide... Raleigh is Kimbrough's cute little corgi...Carrot chilaxing- Mom's pack and my dogs last summer on her porch... and battle of the cuteness- who will it be, Leah or Grandmother's pup Willy???? Ok Willy is cutest, leah wins hands down here for sweetest, most compassionate, caring, smartest , most beautiful...
This is a bit out of order- but here are some pics of our lovely time at Uncle Tom's cabin. The day made me a big time believer in helmets as I was apparently sending May the horse mixed signals during our ride.. My mouth screamed "whoah" and my arms pulled hard on the reigns- but my legs and body language said- "giddy up and go". So I got thrown off ( for the second time) and hit my head really hard- giant loud thump. Fortunately, Kimbrough made me wear a helmet- and no one got any video of the scene... Thankfully Brenda and Kimbrough were able to analyze my problem (when they pulled themselves off the ground from laughing) and I could finally stop feeling like I was possessed with inner demons that made the horse crazy whenever I jumped on....
Dad, Charlie, and the boys traveled to Chapel Hill this weekend to see the UNC play basketball! They won their game and they all had a great time. Here are some pics of Gfunk and Wade in their UNC attire.
My bud Debbie and I were fortunate to attend the South Carolina Ed Tech convention again this year. It is a wonderful conference and we had a great time as usual. The theme was "Rock on" and we rocked it with some new friends in the evening... Wade came with and I enjoyed spending some alone time together on the coast with him in his parents' beautiful condo.
